In the mid-nineties I read an article proclaiming the uprising of a spiritual movement. It was a prediction piece suggesting a global involvement with America leading the way. At the time I had already begun to notice the shift away from organized religion and heading towards spirituality. Over the years I watched this movement gain momentum as many teachers and authors stepped up to share their knowledge.

Research led to the discovery and insight into the changing times we are all experiencing. Between two ages, we are presently leaving behind the Age of Pisces with all it's religious focus and heading into the Age of Aquarius where the focus is on the ethers and the seeking of truth.

We are already witnessing the Aquarian effects with the explosion of technological advancements, all of which are taking place within the ethers. The advent of the internet led the way, with wireless communication following closely behind and there is still more advancement to come.

The truth seeking portion of this new age is also manifesting as many hidden aspects and agendas are now being brought forward for all to see.

As I watched a documentary entitled 'South of the Border' by Oliver Stone it became clear that America was indeed leading the way; just not North America as I had assumed, but South America. A group of leaders have been elected by the people of various countries, who all seem to be working together to bring back sovereignty for the good of all the people. This is certainly not the picture painted by the western media.

Aquarius, the taskmaster, has decreed that the light of truth will shine brightly. Like the bubbles in a glass of Champagne, it will always rise to the surface and so it has begun.

Kudos to Oliver Stone for being a truth-seeker and presenting us with the real story of a continent that has taken it's power back and is definitely leading the way to show the rest of the world that it can be done.

While researching material for a book I am currently writing, linking the principles of universal law with the messages presented by Jeshua ben Josef (Jesus), my awareness was drawn to the existence of a possible bloodline spanning over 2000 years. This bloodline is said to exist from the union of Jeshua and Mary Magdalene. It is postulated that they had children and shared a life in the region of Rennes le Chateau in Southern France, after the crucifixion, if indeed it happened or if it happened as recorded.

Some scholars investigated the possibility of this union and have concluded that chances are good it did occur and consequently created a bloodline that reaches to present day.

This got me to thinking about bloodlines and how important are they really are.

The soul, the driver of any incarnation is far more important than the costume-du-jour. Having been around many times in many lives, the soul has likely been in a vast variety of bodies consisting of different colors, creeds, nationality, religions and gender. It has possibly resided all over the globe. Some souls have reincarnated hundreds and even thousands of times. Understanding that we have been all types like actors on a stage with many performances under our belt can help to bring about a tolerance for those whom we think are unlike us.

People of any given bloodline may inherit physical characteristics and DNA but the vast cast of players appearing into the bodies will have an array of different experiences, each bringing his/her own challenges along.

We all share the unified field energy that gives life to all living things and we also share a past as players in a game--just one more link to bind us all--one more reason to celebrate our common ground rather than furthering the idea of separation. We are all one, here to learn and provide for soul growth.

Planting our garden I couldn’t help but marvel, once again, at the awesome ability of nature to produce such abundance. Tiny little seeds get to become lush plants, some bearing fruit, some veggies.
We plant carrot seeds and get carrots, not beans or peas.
How does nature do this?
Is it part of a soul group, like animals who come in with a certain amount of knowledge for survival?
I read that bird song gives the signal to start growing and the process continues while the birds keep singing. Since everything in this universe is made-up of vibration this connection is certainly a viability. It would explain why things do not grow well in winter, even indoors, under lights.

The same energy drives everything so a connection between birds and plants is very possible. We have all known people purported to have green thumbs.
Could this account for a deeper connection between people and plants?
My friend Metta used to talk to her plants as she lovingly tended her ‘spirit’ garden. Her efforts were well rewarded. The garden was amazing, each year.

It is with great pleasure that we begin to harvest lettuce and radishes and look forward to luscious tomatoes, fresh beans, peas and potatoes-all grown naturally without poisons.

My deepest gratitude goes to Gaia for having this process so well in place to nourish her peeps.

For over 35 years I have experimented with baking techniques in search of the perfect loaf of bread. The journey began with proofing yeast, mixing, rising, shaping and more rising. Starting in the morning, the bread would be ready for baking by 2 or 3pm.

Then along came a book where the author added vitamin C to all the recipes which never seemed to make much difference to the finished product.

My next adventure was with sourdough, making a starter (a 3 day procedure) using it and replenishing it. This made really good bread with no added yeast (Tassajara Bread Book) and awesome sourdough pancakes as well.

Always on the look-out for ways to improve and make things easier, I stumbled upon a book entitled "Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day."

The procedure was definitely easy-peasy.
Ingredients are mixed and after a 2-hour rise, placed in the fridge.
Then on baking day a hunk of dough gets cut-off, shaped, brought to room temperature (90 minutes) and baked.

Using only spelt flour, I must admit to having doubts about the outcome but the end-product was fabulous. Baked at a high temperature of 450 degrees C for 30 minutes produced an Artisan type loaf, very crispy on the outside yet soft and moist on the inside.

Hats-off to the authors(Jeff Herzberg & Zoe Francois) for coming up with an easy way to make such delicious bread. I look forward to trying some of the other recipes in their book.

It passed the taste test!

As we cycled to the library this morning, a couple of encounters made me realize once again how people tend to sabotage themselves with their beliefs and speech.

The first, a lady, came up to me as I parked my bike. She said, “You’re not worried about just leaving your bike here? Aren’t you afraid someone will steal it?”
Two words, "worried" & "afraid", gave me an insight into her life. Both powerful words that will draw more of the same to her.
She then proceeded to tell me how she was always afraid to leave her bike because of the expensive Bionx kit.
I explained the principles of the Law of Attraction and how she was likely to draw the very circumstances she was so afraid of if she kept maintaining that thought pattern. The blank stare told me she didn’t get it so I told her about a security code she could enter into the Bionx system to disable it.

The second encounter was with another cyclist outside a grocery store, who wanted to know about recumbent bikes. Later, we met him again as we waited in a very busy intersection to head home.
He gave us the url for a website and said to be sure to look at the "10 Ways of How Not to Get Hit By a Car" article. My first thought was that the best way is to get that thought right out of your head.

I immediately turned onto a sidewalk and towards a path less travelled.
Knowing how these energies work it made me uncomfortable to see where his thoughts were going while standing in a place with so much traffic.

Awareness of these principles of Universal Law allow us to use them for our benefit instead of for our detriment. However, the awareness first needs to be there before we can use these timeless laws.

Watching the local news I heard a panel discussion about our Canadian athletes making a poor show on the medals podium.

The next day in a store I heard two radio announcers saying "Canada is just not bringing it." My first thought was 'How insensitive.' I can only imagine the years spent to get to be one of the competitors, years of hard work, discipline, and determination. How must these athletes feel when they hear their own media trashing their efforts?

As the host country, shouldn't we be happy for whoever wins the medals, regardless of where they live? They have all put forth the effort required to reach this point. They have earned the right to be called the best in the world. Hats off also, to all those who gave it their best.

In the true spirit of these Olympic games let us appreciate the skills of all the winners and celebrate their success for a job well done no matter what flag they are waving.

What comes to mind when we think about Valentine's Day?
Bouquets of flowers especially roses, greeting cards, balloons, champagne corks popping, a little guy with a bow & arrow, red hearts and of course chocolate---lots of chocolate.

It is always nice to spoil and honour our loved ones. It is a good time to be grateful for our blessings.
My husband and I have a further relationship with Valentine"s Day. We became engaged on this day. Exactly one year later we were married on this day. That was 40 years ago and so far so good. As we reach this milestone it is a time for a bit of reflection.

What makes a union last this long? We must be doing something right.
Stepping into it I assumed it would be a lifetime commitment and that is still in effect.
Love is the binding force.
Allowing is also an important part.
Allowing the other person to be who they are without trying to change them.
Allowing them to grow in all aspects without needing to control the journey.
Allowing yourself the same in kind without judgment.
Just allowing.

Let's raise our glasses high and toast to a day filled with love and good wishes.

Cheers!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Someone asked me what I thought was the most important thing about Universal Law. I had to give that question some thought because there are so many benefits to understanding these principles. Also, any one benefit may be of varying value for a number of people depending upon the journey and the teachings each of us has chosen to experience.

However, if there is one paramount point everyone will appreciate it is that these principles of natural law are at work all the time.
Whether we are aware of them or not, choose to acknowledge them or not, understand, recognize or use them, make no mistake these elements are working all the time.
No one can turn them off.
No one is excluded or favoured.
The key to these principles comes with recognition and understanding allowing us to use them to our benefit if we so choose.
We become co-creators of circumstances instead of victims of circumstances.
Life doesn't just happen to us. We take an active part in designing the roadmap for the journey ahead.
Just this one aspect of universal law can have a great impact on our daily experiences as the Law of Free Will, Law of Creation, Law of Cause and Effect and Law of Attraction do their jobs, according to our thoughts and the choices we make. This knowledge can bring us a step closer to co-creating with the universe.
So, if it has to come down to just one aspect, it would be this factor.
These laws are at work with or without our involvement but they exist for our use.
They exist to provide self-empoerment.
Take charge!

We come together again, as one consciousness, one people, without regard for nationality, colour, creed, social status or religion.
We come together again to help those in need. Thoughts of differences, politics, war, and strife are abandoned as we work side by side with a common goal. We give time, skill, money, supplies, and thoughts of blessings and healing in meditation.
As our own complaints dissolve, we give thoughts to the overwhelming challenges faced by the Haitian people, digging out huge amounts of rubble in the hope of freeing anyone still alive; be it family, friend, neighbour or fellow human beings.
Amid after-shocks and disease they are tired but toil on because they must.
The world unites to come in aid.
The world unites to share what it can.
The compassion cup is full and runs over.
We have done it before, we will do it again.
We come together as one because that is who we are.
We come together as one because we care.
We come together again….

A health problem with a family member prompted me to research the effects of Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) on the body. Along with Vitamin A & E, I knew it to be oil soluble, which means it dissolves in oil and is not flushed from the body each day like vitamins C and the B complex. Then I began to uncover the reported benefits to the body for a number of ailments. The further I searched the longer the list grew. Some of the claims were as follows:

  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Anti-flu
  • Helps fight off respiratory disease
  • Helps fight off Type 2 Diabetes
  • Helps prevent various cancers
  • Good for bone health due aiding in the ability to absorb calcium
If any or all of these claims are effective, this little vitamin is indeed a powerhouse, a treasure trove to be tried.

So, I did.

After eight days of taking 1000IU sublingually, morning and evening, I experienced arthritic symptoms and constipation, which took three days to clear after stopping the dose. This led me to believe the uptake of calcium is increased as taking calcium supplements does the same thing to me.

I began to wonder what Mother Nature provides us with.

Sunshine naturally converts cholesterol into Vitamin D based as oil soluble to retain it in the body for longer periods of time. I examined the practices of applying sun block and taking anti-cholesterol drugs to bring the levels down. Both of these moneymakers for pharmaceutical companies stand at odds with the natural process. Also, since these practices have been accepted, skin cancer and other forms of cancer have skyrocketed. Should we perhaps be sun tanning in moderation in the spring to build up a tolerance and then tanning more in the summer to build up a store of Vitamin D, without the sun block to interfere with the natural process? This is what I have done for many years. I seldom get colds or flu and my skin is not wrinkled so it works for me. In addition I will now add Vitamin D3 supplementation as well, only in the wintertime and sparingly.

If it really is effective for many ailments, why are we not hearing more about the benefits of this vitamin in the mainstream media? Unlike pharmaceutical products, it is very inexpensive to buy.
